Real Men

Modern media often present us with an image of the "real man." Sometimes this ideal man is portrayed as a macho figure, sometimes as a sophisticate. How do the images of men we see relate to the ideal of a man as portrayed in Qur'anic teaching? Do they create conflicts or ambivalences in us?
